We begin typing practice for 15 minutes a week using Type to Learn, Jr. in first grade and in second grade, they graduate to Type to Learn 3. Unfortunately, a lot of kids are getting no reinforcement at home. I might also take you up on the advice to cover the keyboard..that is one thing we don't do at my school!
